It's official! On the 8th of July the Bavarian State Opera will live-stream Beethoven's "Fidelio" on the Internet! What grand news for anyone who can't be there! So, one may curse technology and computers and viruses and stuff, but there is a lot of good in this as well... For anyone who is interested, the whole thing beginns at 19.45 local time of Germany and can be viewed online at www.staatsoper.de, which is the official online page of the Bavarian State Opera. I hope that a lot of people tune in! I know I will... So have fun; hopefully nothing goes wrong and this online "premiere" is followed by many others from opera houses all over the world!
